This section contains an overview of the Roles & Features covered in the installation section Part 5.
Installer’s Declaration#
The installation and configuration procedures outlined below assume that the installer has a basic working knowledge of general computing and IT systems. This includes imaging and deploying operating systems, including Windows Server 2022 (used throughout this documentation), navigating and utilizing setup wizards, UI elements and drop-down boxes, and fundamental networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS familiarity. This documentation provides a level of detail that will enable the professional installer with a foundational understanding of these concepts to successfully implement the proposed solution for ADATUM.
Note: Windows Server 2022 should be installed and configured to accept configuration throughout this documentation. If Windows Server 2022 is not installed and configured to accept configuration changes at this time, please refer to the appropriate documentation or see the IT manager for instructions to proceed with the installation. Ensure that the server meets the minimum hardware and software requirements, and that all necessary updates and drivers are applied before continuing. Failure to meet these minimum requirements before proceeding may result in installation issues, misconfigurations, missing roles and features and/or outdated security patches.

This section highlights an overview of the various features and roles mentioned throughout the documentation (for a comprehensive how-to, please see the immediate next section, Installing Prerequisite Roles and Features). Please note that these roles and features are prerequisites to successfully implement the proposed configuration as outlined in the Executive Summary.
